While the process of creating a publish.illinois.edu namespace takes about 5 minutes, the process of getting a website built from scratch takes more time and effort, and not all our customers are familiar with the WordPress Block Editor. In order to simplify site creation, we've developed two basic site templates - one designed for a professor or research lab team, the other for a conference. Either of these can be installed when you first create a publish.illinois.edu site, and the how-to documentation is built into the sample pages, so that your guidance is right there. (Even after you've edited your sample pages, you can still find the instructions at https://publish.illinois.edu/template-site and https://publish.illinois.edu/template-conference .) Join us for a look at how to make and modify these easy-up sites. If time permits, we may have a bonus feature as well.

Participants will learn where to find the site templates, how to install and use them, how to customize them for their own purposes, and how to use categories and tags for conference collection and organization.
